Black Pencil Prize Night

The Black Pencil ensemble presents works of selected finalists of the festival’s prize dedicated to new pieces written for their one of a kind combination of instruments (and harpsichord) + Guests and friends join Black Pencil in performance of new works of Tom Armstrong, Klaas de Vries and former Prix Prizewinner, Jānis Petraškevičs.

Jane Chapman brings alive Richard Rijnvos’ monumental piece, which creates a “parallel universe” for its sources of inspiration: Italo Calvino’s novel Invisible Cities and Bach’s masterpiece, Goldberg Variations.
